The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) is the leading provider of management education for the automotive service and collision repair industry. AMI was founded in 1989 to answer the demand for management education specifically for automotive service and collision repair professionals. Its accredited curriculum consists of more than 700 courses taught by more than 150 faculty members. The fields of study focus on five areas of business management: marketing and sales, operations and service, management and administration, financial management, and personnel and human resource development.
Guided by its mission to provide and promote practical business management education tailored to automotive service, AMI offers courses in divergent formats to best meet every student's learning needs. Classroom courses range from 1 1/2-hour to five-day sessions. A core of self-study courses is also available.
