Rick McCabe, owner of McCabe's Automotive Specialists in Tacoma was named ASA-WA's 2001 Outstanding Member of the Year.  This honor was awarded to Tick by ASA-WA's President, Elaine Mills.

Rick joins 32 other prestigious leaders who have been honored since 1968. 

McCabe's Automotive Specialists has been in business, in the same location, since April 1972 and has been an ASA member for the last 19 years.  Being of man of many taletns, he opened Battery Assist in 1998, Narrows Towing in 1999 and joined the parts business with Imports of Tacoma in 2001.

Not only is Rick a very active businessman, he has always been involved and supportive of ASA.  Rick's active role began with the Pierce County Unit.  He served as Mechanical Chairman, Lights-On Chairman, Secretary and two years as President.  He joined the ranks on the ASA-WA's Board of Directors in 1999 as Secretary, then onto Chairman-Elect and was installed as Chairman of the Board in 2002.

Together with his wife Rebecca, they attend most local, state and national events.
